We much prefer the "Old Road" too. Can't say we experienced any issues with noise in the 2 weeks we were there. Can't recommend Hera enough - we would sit on our balcony at the next door Meandros and watch Heras owner harvesting his veggies each morning ready to serve in his restaurant that same day.

We didn't have any issues with PR's in fact Poseidon even asked us to have a drink with them after we had eaten elsewhere. Only because we stopped to chat with them a few times.

A couple fo good bars on the old road.Oceanic chill out bar for relaxing and a more lively bar Big Als not quite on the beach bar.Both worth a visit.

We preferred the old road as less hassled . The road can be quite busy but once you've had a few cocktails at oceanic you don't notice . Also the food at puzzle is simply fab , couldn't fault it whist we were there. Excellent service, decent prices and very friendly and welcoming .

I'm with Pete, Kevin's Oceanic chill out bar is just great, great music, great cocktails, great host, "nuff said" !!
