Hi you have a choice of a couple of mini markets in the commercial zone, the best of which is Julia's there is also one quite close to the beach but this is more expensive. In the commercial area you will find an ATM and various bars and couple of shops. There is also a pharmacy if you want cigarettes you can buy single packs from machines but to get more you will have to hop on a bus 1 Euro fifty five and go into Cuitadella.

Please feel free to message me if you more info i have stayed in cala Blanca for the last five years running.

Yes we went last year and its simply lovely. Everything is on the door step, the beach, small supermarket selling most of what you will need, restaurants, bars and the bus stop at the bottom of the road. A further ten minute walk to central area where you will find a whole lot more. The pool is of a good size and the property is a Menorcan house not just a faceless holiday villa. I recommended this villa to friends last year and they had a great time

I have booked this villa again this year after a smashing holiday last year. The villa is a great place to stay with nothing more than a five minute walk away. Cala Blanca is a great find with hotels, bars, restaurants and plenty for children to do. The small supermarket is at the top of the road and sells lots of English type foods as well as the basics and is open until 10 pm every night including Sunday ( it was last year anyway).

We tried to book it again for this year but its booked up so that is the best sign you can have that it is a quality villa and Cala Blanca a quality place.

There are also two further small supermarkets in the central area where the shopping complex is which is about ten/ 15 min walk away. If you have hired a car there is a large supermarket which the locals use off the main road heading into Ciutedella about ten mins in the car. It's a lot cheaper than the small resort supermarkets and has a great range of products especially for babies and small children. It also has a huge butchers, fish mangers and fruit stall. We stocked up here and used the local supermarkets for essentials throughout the week. Hope this helps you

We stayed in this villa in August 2013. See below the list of problems we encountered.

Aircon not working in master bedroom. Fan was delivered but stopped working that night. We were told aircon had not been working since Friday and would be repaired the following Thursday.

After doing a full supermarket shop we realized that the fridge was not working properly as the seal on the door did not meet at the top. We had to throw away the food as we did not want any of us to get ill. The food was, at best, room temperature when we took it out of the fridge.

Workmen arrived to fit a new aircon unit. They arrived at 3pm and were still with us at 9pm so we were unable to get showered and changed for dinner until they had left. We also had a new fridge delivered on that afternoon.

Next day we woke up to find the pool had gone green. We complained and were told it had rained in the night and all the pools in the area were green from mud??. We did not see any other pools the same colour as ours and they all appeared to be in use. We were told it would clear in a few hours as they had put the filter pump on. This did not clear all day. Next day pool was still green. A pool man arrived and put some chemical powder into the pool and said we could not use it for the whole day.

On top of all the above we were infested with Ants even in the children’s beds!! We had to buy Insect spray for all the bedrooms and bathrooms.

The curtains in the master bedroom were so flimsy we were awake at 6.00am every morning due to the sunlight. They were more like net curtains that full curtains. The vertical blinds in the lounge area of the master bedroom did not cover the windows and had pleats missing

Although there are four showers in the villa it is only possible to use one at a time and no one can flush the toilet or use the kitchen sink whilst a shower is being used. Whilst towels were provided (one bath towel per person per week) they were of the cheapest quality and were virtually waterproof, I also think two tea towels for eight people per week is inadequate.

The kitchen utensils are old tired and nothing matches and the glasses are small inadequate and old fashioned. The grill pan in the cooker is from another cooker and does not fit properly when the oven is hot it is virtually impossible to get it out.

The villa has a drive but we could not use it and often had to park 2 streets away.

Would NEVER go back to this villa and would certainly not recommend it.

Sounds very disappointing. Out of interest why could you not use the drive? Surely that didn't ban you from parking there.
