FYI - Cows milk is imported and can be 'off' before you open it. It also tends to last a day here even in the fridge.

Buying fresh milk is very dodgy - it goes off very quickly - even before you get it home from the shop! If you are buying it, beware bloated cartons - that is a sign that it is off - and if you can use an alternative - do!

Baby milk (guessing you're talking formula) - easier to bring your own - yes, you can get it, but if your baby is fussy, even stuff that is branded the same is not the same and it doesn't take up that much room, so easier to bring what you usually use.

You can get Cravendale milk in most supermarkets, it is more expensive but lasts up to a week. I agree about the 'normal' cows milk, it does only last a day before going off.

Cows milk is fine, to be honest they sell 1 litre cartons, which make about 3 - 4 bottles of 8oz of milk, they do cost 1 euro 24 cents from suportmarkets. So the milk will be drunk in a day of 2 anyway.

I don't think we've ever bought fresh cow's milk that has kept for anything like 24 hours. After year's of trying I've given up on it now, and buy UHT
