Transfer v Taxi...??

Booking a holiday to Los Cristianos soon. Is it worth booking transfers or should we just get a taxi to and from the airport? We do not know where we are staying yet.

Thanks in advance.

Depends when you are going it can be a long wait if you book transfers.

Last year it took 2hours from airport to PDLA,so we booked a private taxi this time,we landed 15.25,got our cases and we were in our hotel in PDLA,by 16.15,there are plenty of taxi at the airport for about 20/25 euro one way.We travel school holiday;s that why we will always get a taxi now, to much time waiting for other planes to land and having to wait for those people to join the coach.

depends where you are staying of course but def taxi - as said above we landed last year with thomas cook - peak summer hols time. took advice from this site that so many taxis and all prices are in place beforehand more or less. asked the rep how long she anticpated the journey to be and she said about 90 minutes so we advised we were getting a taxi and we were in our apartment (compostela beach golf) within 20 mins of leaving airport. First quenching drink in hand (to aid with the unpacking of course) within 30 minutes. Our coach arrived an hour later. It is the nature of what they have to do - wait for other planes - fill the coaches and then drop off on the way. Taxi was 22 euros.

We took the transfer back to the airport but asked the rep how many pickups and anticipated journey time first as our daughter doesnt travel well and they said 45 minutes and it was. So taxi outward and coach return worked for us. happy hols - loved Tenerife!

Thanks for the replies!! It looks like getting a taxi is the best option. We have never been to Tenerife before but it's so exciting!!

Just take the bus at the airport busline 111 and it brings you wright at the center of Los Cristianos and it its 3,5 euros a person,a taxi is maybe 15 minutes shorter.

We always get a taxi, better to spend more time lying by the pool/beach than in a hot bus! Enjoy your holiday :)
