Parque Margarita

Hi everyone,

We are going away in 4/5 weeks and staying at Parque Margarita. Just wondering if anyone could give me some info of where the local supermarket is, how close the beach is and any nice restaurants and bars?

Thanks,

Louise

tenerifetravel.com/maps/southtenerife_large.… your accommodation is in map ref G9 on the attached link. Almost next door to you is the lovely Restaurant Margarita that has 3 different live acts each night and their food is also good. There is a Spar supermarket in sq. H8 (a square takes approx 10 mins to cross) In G8 where you see Trebol and a X there is a large supermarket and diagonally opposite is another but it is much more expensive.

Running down the road in G9 from the Paradise Park to Reveron Apt (towards the beach) are lots of pretty good restaurants and some have entertainment and once on the seafront you will be spoilt for choice.

Parque Margarita - stayed here for the first time 24 Dec for 2 weeks. Apartment dated but large lounge, camp beds in bedroom and small bathroom but adequate. TV, microwave, cooker etc if you wanted it and iron and ironing board. Plus was Apt. 405 was on ground floor, beside the pool and poolside wasn't busy at all. Lovely poolside café freshly cooked food BUT everyone knew each other, a right clique, on the whole no one was very friendly ie. never said good morning etc, just seemed to be one big Yorkshire entourage! (about 200 of them!). Wouldn't go back again, noisy from nearby restaurant etc and huge cockroach greeted us on penultimate morning. Notice in reception stated that apartments were not for private lets so don't know how we got there.

Hi Margarita

Just booked for Oct...stayed next door at Summerland.

Great location..few bars around but relatively quiet.

Supermarkets small & large 5/10 mins away

1. typical tesco express but better. Out of Margarita turn rt to roundabout cross 2 roads turn rt and its on yur left.

2.Apollo centre..next to bus station. larger...more stock...out of Margarita trn rt to top (roundabout ) turn left carry on down hill across blocked off road and apollo centre is on your left.

Theres also an Iceland up past The Arona Grand Hotel...go to sea front and turn left 200yds.

Market (every Sunday) is that way too...follow the crowds...gets busy..

Sea front is 10 min stroll beach a little further turn left out of hotel...several ways down.

Plenty of good cheap restaurants. The Olive Garden on the prom...curry nights.. Shires Apollo centre

Fish n chips Friday....Buffet (opposite childrens playground/petrol station) top of town all ok.

Best of luck and enjoy.

great apartments. we have stayed in 818 a good few times. I agree about the clique ! not very welcoming at times but i wasnt really bothered. supermarket across road at front....5min walk and a spar at the back....5/7 minute walk. both very easy to get to and lots of pubs restaurants in the area.

Suppost to be residential apartments, not let short term to Holiday makers, that is why made to feel not welcome by residents.Apart from that good area, with lots around as already stated.Sometimes this clique try to take over in RESTAURANT MARGARITA,but as they are only drinkers NOT dinners, the management prefer visitors.

Everything you need is just outside the door, the beach about a 10 min walk, the town centre the same. there are a couple of small supermarkets just across the road open till late, there are 2 bigger supermarkets within 10 mins, there are also plenty of bars & restaurants very close by but don't worry about noise because it is a residential area and all music has to go off by midnight
