Hi SMJ82

Do consult your family physician. North sikkim would be cold. make sure you carry heavy woolens, rooms to have running hot water and room heaters.

North Sikkim would be tough for a six month boy.Kindly consult your physician before journey.Weather would be cold so have warm cloths. Gurodoner lake is on 17000 ft so please dont visit there with child even if you plan to visit north sikkim.

Plan for west and south sikkim along with Darjelling. You may also consider dooars as your alternate.

Hello.

Sikkim Sir, sikkim has many districts and with a 6 month child you would have to avoid certain destinations in sikkim such as North Sikkim- Lachung- Lachen etc.

Places such as Gangtok and Namchi will be suitable for a 6 month Child..

Giving the Risk factor at all seasons is, that in a Place such as Sikkim there will be a lot of travelling which may be upto 4-5 hrs day.. in the hilly twisted road.. but with certain prescribed medications from a child specialist.. there should be no problems..
