Drinks and Food

As You Probably know all ready me and my friends are going in oct (5 girls).

I just want to know is it expensive to eat out? and how much are the drinks in the bars? is there many happy hours, if so where??

Is it expensive in the supermarkets for alcohol and the amentites like bread and crisps??

How much are the drinks in the clubs too?

Sorry for lots of questions its our first holiday on our own :) and we havent got a clue how much money to take, as we are going self catering for a week.

Thanks

Nat

hi nat,breakfast=€2 to €3,afternoon snack and drink=€7,evening meal=€7 to €12 depending on what you eat, drinks on average €3 to €5 beer you can get from as little as €1 per pint at certain places, happy hours, just look around you will find them everywhere.

supermarkets are cheap on certain things and expensive on others, alcohol is cheap,€2 for wine, spirits €6 to €10 per bottle, large bottles of beer €1.

drinks in clubs can be expensive so check before you buy,if you look around you will get the bargains,if you take a minimum of £50 per day you should be ok as long as you dont go mad.enjoy your hols.

large beer 1.50-3€

spirits around 4-6€ (huge measures)

bread around 2.50€

crisps around 80c-1.50€

alcohol in supermarkets from 19c for small can!

drinks in clubs variable and you can be ripped off so negotiate the price before entry.

In the golden corner (next to the casino)you'll find big ones for around 5 Euro each. They are nice too and plenty of choice !

Hi Nat

I went to Puerto del Carmen in May with a two friends(all aged 24). We took on average €480 each and that lasted us not too badly. Unfortunately becuase of the awful Euro rates at the moment, drinks aren't working out too cheap. Most of the bars have offers on to get you in though which should make your night a bit cheaper.

We ate out most nights and most of the restaurants have their menus and pricing outside so you can check before you go in. The restaurants in the marina area tend to be more expensive but they are lovely so might be worth a try one night.

We shopped at a Netto as it was much cheaper than the shop at our apartments. It was fairly reasonably priced.

Xnatty-noox I just love that bit about how expensive are alcohol, bread & crisps in the supermarket......these being the essential stock items needed for a self catering girly hol. Brings back fab memories of girly hols a few (but not too many) years ago when all we had in our apartment fridge was a bottle of cheap spansish vodka a bottle of diet coke & our staple breakfast & in-house meals were crisp sarnies !

Hope you have a fab time.....can I come ? x

Same applies to boys lil miss sunshine, for the first few years of our lads holidays, our fridge was stocked with lager and our cupboards with Pot Noodles !

The meals would alternate every day between and Pot Noodle or a cheese butties made with craft slices !!,

What Memories
