PDC to Costa Teguise on the bus

Hi we are returning to PDC again in November and as we have not ventured up the coast to Costa Teguise we thought we would take a nice bus ride out for the day. Question: can you get one bus to Costa Teguise or do you have to change, how long does it take and approx how much. We are not hiring a car this time but as we are staying for a fortnight we thought it would be nice to see somewhere new. Have often thought of staying in CT but never got arond to it. Gracias Amigo's.

Dalyanne,

Confused by your post tbh. As far as I know the number 3 direct bus still runs every 20 minutes. However if you got a number 2 that stops in Arrecife then again you shouldn't have to wait more than 20 minutes for a bus to costa teguise. Did you get off at the small bus station outside a large building (town hall) with gran hotel in the distance to your left or the main bus station?

I'm with Rich on this, think you must have got on the wrong bus by mistake Dalyanne

The bus from PDC to Costa Teguise runs direct 24hrs a day and takes between 35-60 mins depending on time of day/night

Happy Holidays

I can assure you there ARE direct buses between PDC and CT. They run every 20 minutes. They run 24 hours a day but only every 1 hour during the night. The Number 03 is the one you want. Despite the one way system along the front of PDC you can get to CT simply by getting on at any of the stops on the front or Biosfera.

Otherwise, it is best to get on at the San Antonio hotel. To return there are several stops in CT.

If there is any confusion (it really is quite simple) then there is a stop in PDC just up the hill from Biosfera where you USED TO be able to get on for CT. Despite there still being signage at this stop, it is NOT in use any more and the new one is on the opposite side of the road heading UP the hill out of PDC (this stop is called "Las Vistas"). Use the following link to see the various stops and times -

arrecifebus.com/index.php…

From the above link you can browse the rest of the bus web site which has loads of usefull information which you can get in English. We use the buses a lot and have the credit crad type "Bono Bus" cards which you can get from the driver or at the bus station in Arrecife. Saves faffing about for change and you can top them up by asking the driver. They also carry a 10% discount.

Nocarp69

Costa Teguise is a lovely resort and well worth a visit in the day

Some lovely little bars/cafes, nice beaches etc, a really nice laid back feel to the resort

Seems to be spread out into little sections seperated by a few mins walk

Give it a go I am sure you will like it

Daft question maybe but is the best place to get off the bus in Costa Teguise where it terminates or a stop or two earlier? Only been there the once many years ago and we are planning on a trip there when we are over in october. Can't remember what we did last time!

Someone mention a 'bonnet' type prepaid 10 journey ticket. It was discontinued when I was last in Lanza (Jan 14).

It's a Bono ticket. The new cards aren't really designed for or beneficial these days to the average holidaymaker unfortunately
