Indian Restaurants

there seem to be quite a few Indian restaurants scattered around PDC

what is the general standard of cuisine compared to an average Indian in UK?

what ones would be recommended?

and what ones would be closest to Apartments Tisalaya?

thanks in advance.

I'll be nterested to see some answers to this as I've taken a bit of a shine to Indian cuisine lately and we're heading to PDC next week.

Gary the address features on the review Avenida De las Playas n014 | commercial center Las Tabaibas

I personally like Poppadom in the same square as Friends Bar behind the Dubliner Pub on the front

Lots of choice. We've tried 2 or 3 and they ranged from dreadful to OK. However the one I would personally recommend is the Bollywood.

Where we live there a few really good Curry houses and a fusion Indian restaurant which is the only Michelin star one in Kent, so we are spoilt to a certain degree. The Bollywood comes pretty high on our list of good curry houses.

Here's a Google street View of the Aroma Gary...........it's directly below Bluebells and not far from where you're staying http://goo.gl/maps/9uOdX

We liked Fazz's in the harbour. It's part of a chain in the Canaries and we haven't had a bad meal in any of them.

We are spolit for choice in Manchester, with the famous Curry Mile. But there's a cracker in Crayford Bodeca's facing the Duke pub. Had some memorable nights down there.

As for PDC, India Aroma is indeed a good curry place - doesn't seem to get the reviews it deserves in my opinion. Great location and they do a fantastic king-prawn-tandoori-vindaloo! Its dowstairs towards Bluebells etc.

There's a new Fazz restaurant (think that's what its called) underneath the trampolines place at the casino end. A friend of a friend went in February and said it was the best in PDC.

Star of India keeps getting 5 stars on recent reviews as wel!!!!

Only tried Bollywood which was ok, certainly not anywhere near the standard of curries round this neck of the woods though.

thanks Miss Chief, very helpful of you once again :)

i used the address from the reviews and have walked up and down that street several times (on streetview lol) and couldnt find it.

I think i am going to stop using streetview, its taking away the whole element of surprise!

Your welcome Gary........you'll have no bother finding it now :) Bluebells is a good bar for an afternoon "cooler" great cocktail jugs, stopped in there one afternoon in Feb and ended up leaving a few hours later walking like a Baby Giraffe LOL
