Puerto del Carmel for families?

Looking at a villa here can someone tell me what it's like for kids being out in bars etc in the evening? Wasn't sure how lively it is. Just got back from cyprus coral bay and that was very family friendly, we had a 7 year old and we were out till 12:30am most nights it was great. Is it a bit too lively here or ok? Thanks

We were in PDC in October with a 5 yr old and 2yr old twins and i dont think you could ask for a more friendly family resort

But then again i find most places abroad treat families with respect

I think that is one area where the British have a lot to learn

It can be as lively or as quiet as you want, well it was couple of years ago! Yes on the strip there's the clubs, but plenty of good child friendly restaurants and bars. Staff tend to make a fuss of kids which is great. You will have a great time. We're going back in sept

Hi I did this post a year ago ! We ended up going to menorca which was lovely, however thinking again about puerto del Carmen for next years holiday, looking at villas so again need some family entertainment in the evening. All we want is some live singers to watch in evening nice bar and we are happy ! just want it to be ok for 8yr old and 2 seniors. We are not well travelled so unsure of the lively parts. Thank you

We go to PDC every year and have done since our youngest was about 2 (he's 11 now), It's as lively as you want it to be and very friendly, to bar and restaurant owners make a fuss over the kids. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

The "strip" runs from the old town and goes on for miles so I'm sure you'll find something to do every night. Personally we stay toward the Casino most recently in the Playa Club and love it, we're off in 48 days and this year we're going with our eldest and our granddaughter and our youngest, can't wait!

Thanks for reply! We love our villas therefore would hate to choose an area where we don't go out in evenings! If hotel it's not too bad. We were out till gone 2am in menorca this year, watching live singers, doing karaoke (very badly lol), I just don't want the strip to be too lively for the family.

Hi

PDC is family friendly, we have taken our son since he was 9 months old and we try and go for New Year too. Most bars, restaurants etc are accommodating of children, we have never had a problem.

Lots of things for your 7 yr old to do on Lanzarote, Rancho Texas great day out, Go Karting San Bartomole, camel safari lots of family fun, crazy golf, bowling etc. We love it we are flying out for the 3rd time this year in August and back for New Year.

Corralejo is good but at night, a lot of the bars have live music/bands on, can be quite loud for young ears. Having said that, all restaurant/bars are child friendly as they are in the whole of Spain and it's various islands, it's part of their culture for kids to be out late as they eat later than we would normally. There is a great waterpark in Corralejo.

Puerto del Carmen is a lively resort so expect families of all ages to be out and about at night, plenty nice restaurants and bars to choose from, some with entertainment on in the evening. You won't go wrong in Puerto del Carmen.

Lanzarote, Fuerteventura...in fact, all the Canary islands are great but each island offers something a little bit different from each other, enjoy!
