fanabe costa sur, area?

Hi, is the Fanabe Costa Sur Hotel situated in Adeje Town? Can't understand why the Hotel Isabel is classed as being in Adeje? (ByTripadvisor), while the Hotel Fanabe Costa Sur (which is supposed to be opposite the Isabel) is classed as being in Cota Adeje by Tripadvisor?? Thanks

It is based in Costa Adeje.

Most people refer to Costa Adeje and Adeje as the same area probablly not even realising that there is a town called Adeje a few miles in land.

Thanks Carwyn

We're thinking of booking this hotel but hubby seems to think it's a bit out of the way! Reviews seem to fluctuate, but then one person's likes are another person's dislikes!!

Adeje is a 'county' and Costa Adeje is everything that runs along the coast of the country all the way from Las Americas through to Callao Salvaje This may put it into perspective …servimg.com/u/f56/16/52/62/13/captur10.jpg Your hotel is at B, which as you can see is close to the seafront and the main resorts, while the County town of Adeje is at A which is several miles away.

The Fanabe Costa Sur isn't so far away. It takes about 10-15 mins to walk down to the beach as you come out of the entrance and round to the right. Crossing the road from the hotel and walking along by the Hotel Isla Bonita to the end of that street and turning right takes you along to a few bars including Wigan Pier which is a great wee bar. There are plenty bars, restaurants along the beach road and there's also San Eugen area where there are comedy, tribute acts, live performers etc You can walk to San Eugen from the Fanabe Hotel in about 25 mins but there's a taxi rank across the road from the hotel entrance on the corner by the Isla Bonita, they are pretty cheap and can get you to most places in a couple of minutes. Los Cristianos on the other side of Playa de las Americas from where Costa Adeje is takes just under 15 mins so going by that, everywhere from Costa Adeje to Los Cristianos is not so far apart.

Oh, and the Hotel Isabel is across the road and their 5* place, Costa Adeje Gran is just along the road, they are all considered as Adeje/Costa Adeje.

We stayed in this hotel and found it to be in a good location in terms of restaurants, bars and beaches. We also got a taxi to La Caleta and ate there on one occasion. We walked to Los Cristianos and to La Caleta( daytime). You can reach many areas if you like a good walk, but all the things you might want for a holiday are a short walking distance away.

Last year we stayed in the Puerto Santiago 3 apartments and we preferred this area as it's livelier without being brash and has a younger feel to it. Costa Adeje seemed to be the preferred area for older people, although we weren't there during the school holidays so that might make a difference. I am not speaking as a young person myself but I prefer somewhere with mixed age groups.
