Temperatures in late March

We will be in Covadonga for a couple of days in the end of March. Would like to know what to temperatures to expect so I can bring appropriate clothes/gear. Is rain usually to be expected around this time? We plan to do the hike to the lakes, so best be prepared.

Thanks!

March will still see snow on the ground in the higher altitudes of the Picos de Europa ...... and this year has seen snow at lower altitudes than normally experieced over recent years.

As with any mountainous areas in March, you have to be equiped for blazing sun, sub zero temperature ans shades of colour between. If you are experienced hikers then go equiped as you have been taught.

It is perfectly possible that you can start off at the hotel in Covodonga experiencing a beautiful warm sunny day, and arrive at the lakes with a blizzard.

So this morning if we look at the webcam in Covadonga ( webcamsdeasturias.com/asturias/… ) there is a contrast with the webcam at the lakes ( webcamsdeasturias.com/asturias/… ).

Thanks very much for the needed advice, and the great links! I'm sure whatever the temperature and weather changes are, we will enjoy Covadonga.
