renting a car in bayahibe

it seems nearly impossible to fly to santo domingo from bayahibe, so my next best option would be to rent a car. Is there any car rental offices in bayahibe? if so which one.

thanks

There are a couple of local rental companies in Bayahibe village and Dominicus - sorry don't have contact info. But I would suggest renting from a reputable, international company like Avis and opt for their full insurance coverage. They will do pick up from La Romana airport and drop off at Santo Domingo airport or Santo Domingo offices if that is what you are after?

Best prices are via online booking - booking at the airport is more expensive.

I guess you have either driven here before or are used to driving 3rd world style? Would not recommend driving after dark - too many unlit hazards on the roads.

good luck!

Just read that you are staying at Dreams - Avis should be able to deliver the car to your hotel.

We've just returned from Dreams and there was a car hire desk in the hotel, on the way to the buffet restaurant. Can't recall which company it was, but it was one of the big ones (Avis rings a bell). Maybe drop the hotel an email to ask?
