Dress Code at Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus

My husband and I are traveling to the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus in early July. I was reading that the restaurants do not allow jeans. I know when we visited Punta Cana and Jamaica, they were allowed jeans, just not shorts. They had to be long pants (which, in the Caribbean, i think is ridiculous. My husband just about had a heat stroke when we were waiting for a table to be ready in Jamaica). But anyways, can someone please tell me if they really do not allow jeans in the restaurants? I know it's still a few months away, i just wanted to know a head of time.

You should know that the dress code only applies to the a la carte restaurants. There is no dress code (except no wet bathing suits) for the buffet or other restaurants, and there is no dress code for women. For men, long pants and closed shoes. If I may suggest, jeans are way too hot and heavy, whether you could get away with wearing them or not. I wore a very light cotton pant which was very comfortable.
