After reading some of the posts I wrote to the Grand asking about large groups during our stay in January. I received a reply that there were 2 "small" groups but that they focused on service, etc. Knowing that small can mean different things to different people, I wrote back and asked (very nicely) if they could tell me if small was close to 100 people or so. I received a response not answering my questions but rather saying that they are not able to control the behavior of their guests and while they tried to reduce the amount other guests are annoyed that they are still open to sales.
Of course I understand they are open to corporate sales; that wasn't my issue. I simply asked whether the groups were upwards of 100 or so because two groups that size could be as big a headache as one large size. Even more if they each have restaurants booked at the same time. Two 20-50 people weddings, not that big of a deal.
I wrote back saying that of course I understood but respectfully asked again and said we were hoping to find out so we knew what to anticipate.
Not feeling warm and fuzzy.
How would you all feel? Am I overreacting to resort-speak?
