Best way to experience Es Vedra

Planning to see Es Vedra late August - we're staying in Playa den Bossa. It looks like there's a few options. I was hoping for your thoughts on making the most of the experience.

What's better - Boat Tour or Cala d'Hort/Torre Des Savinar?

Is it easy to find Torre Des Savinar?

Do taxis or buses go to Cala d'Hort?

Thanks!

There are boat trips that take you around Es Vedra or you can get great view from land. One is from Cala D'Hort which can be reached bu taxi or car (no buses visit there) or if you fancy a walk and scramble you get fantastic views from the Torres des Savinar which is an old watch tower. Again you would have to arrange for a taxi to drop you off just before you go down the hill to Cala D'Hort and walk about a mile over rough ground. If you look on Google Earth you will see the Torres at 38 52.438N 1 13.709E where loads of people have posted photos of the view. I'm not sure if boat trips go from PD but I'm fairly sure they do from San Antonio. This is a photo I took in 2008 - https:/…set-72157625102542354 and this small set show the other 6 Torres around the island - https:/…

Thanks, Phil! I've never used Google Earth, but it's really helpful.

Once you get to Cala D'Hort, is it self explanatory as far as walking directions to Torres des Savinar? How long does it take? I was trying to get directions through Google Earth, but the starting point it gave me was different than the actual beach.

There are 2 ways to experience Es Vedra, by Boat which gets you up close and personal to get a real perspective of its power and size.

The second is by getting there by private transport, by yourself or with a loved one, and watch sunset together.

A possible 3rd option is to book a table at Es Bodaldo restaurant overlooking Es Vedra for sunset and its delicious Bullit De Peix a traditional fish stew dish that is very popular on the island. Third option can be done by taxi.

take the boat trip saves you an awful lot of hassle........go back by car if you like it.
