Dodgy "find the pea" people on the bridge

Been watching this lot for the past two weeks from a distance, same old group of people with lookouts etc

Today they obviously got caught out by a young chap who was not happy & felt ripped off so demanded his money back, he got pushed away and the group disbanded. The group came back when all was safe and continued.

The young chap also came back 10 mins later & confronted them again so they disbanded although this time the young chap took the cardboard table from them and threw the cups down the river & promptly walked.

It was the funniest thing watching the crooks wondering what to do next as there equipment was gone. Bravo!!

(needless to say they returned within 30mins with a new box :(

Such a pity isn't it Liz? Can't believe the police are allowing it to happen. Puerto Mogan was the only place I have ever felt safe enough on holiday to walk about on my own. Don't think we will ever be brave enough to holiday there again. Where are you off to next? lol

I agree, total scum.

However I wouldn't let them put anybody off visiting this place. It is the most chilled & relaxed resort we have ever been to.

Best thing we could all do is just stand well back & start filming them on our phones, enough to put any crook off!!

"New and improved Puerto Mogan "......and now with a motorway ,a much quicker get away route !!!

I thought ,well was told ,the police in Puerto Mogan would act on such things that the police don't do in Puerto Rico ???

Maybe the police an council could act ...and make sure all cardboard isn't so readily available for replacement of their CASINO !!!

It's the tourists who ultimately are to blame for going anywhere near them. If everyone gave them the wide berth they should they would be packed up and gone in jig time.

The police didn't act on a call about a racial incident in a restaurant on the beach last October. A customer telephoned, they arrived eventually, stopped at the restaurant next door and chatted up two young females before coming to the restaurant in question. The incident was over by then. A group of men from an AI hotel in Taurito (I think) arrived under the influence of drink. Bought a lot of booze, lost count and then disagreed with the bar bill. The pints were only €2.

They were really horrible to the owner and I felt really uncomfortable. That is why I am not returning this year. I have been to lots of resorts in 30 years, some where I would expect to have some kind of incident but this is the first time this has happened to us and in Puerto de Mogan the family resort.

We just thought if that could happen before the tunnel opened what does the future hold. Sad!

I am not lumping all users of AI as undesirable just mentioning what happened. I have used AI myself.
