Hello darren170911

Hotels in Macau can be quite expensive depending on where you are coming from. Not sure what reasonable hotel means to you personally so can suggest having a look at hotel search engines like www.booking.com , www.hotels.com to see what comes up. This is a good way to see what typical hotel prices are like and to see what is available during the time of your intended visit.

Our family of 4 (kids 8 & 10yo) stayed at Metropole Hotel when we visited Macau last April. Their new refurbished twin room was price/quality perfect for us. Each bed were wide enough for 1 adult & 1 child.

The hotel location itself is also perfect, literally 3 minutes from Senado Square and bus stops to take you around Macau . Shuttle bus also available between the hotel and ferry terminal, every 30 mins.

Hope my 2c help.

Hi darren170911,

I have recently been to Hotel Okura Macau which has fully integrated facilities for the family (see: adriennehoxy.com/perfect-getaway-macau-hotel… ). I find most of the hotels in Macau expensive actually, but if you family is putting up in one room, you may want to really consider this hotel as it has a fabulous skytop wavepool, various types of cuisines for your budget, a nicely decorated casino for you and your wife while your kids are in bed, Macau cookies/biscuits/snacks shops to get something back for your family and friends and there are plenty of Galaxy hotel buses that can bring you to most of the popular spots such as Senado Square / Taipa etc.

If you're looking for a decent and less expensive hotel as compared to Hotel Okura Macau, I will recommend Sofitel Ponte 16. The room accommodation is very comfortable too and you're allowed to choose the different nice smelling pillows from the hotel staff. It also has a Michael Jackson museum that showcases some of his past possessions from his concerts, autographs etc. To get around, you could choose to walk or take a cab. Cabbing there is rather affordable.

Hope the above helps. Cheers.
