planning a day trip from Hong Kong to Macau. Anyone have suggestions on obtaining a visa..?

I take it that a trip to Macau does not count as my 'single' entry Visa for the PRC.

I usually get my China Visa in the US, but am going to get it in Hong Kong this time. Any suggestions or recommendations? Can I get a multiple entry visa? Anyway of getting a longer Visa than the 30 days I normally get from the Embassy in the US?

Per the Macau web site, visas are not required for US citizens, so it won't count 'against' your China visa:

Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland China are 3 different immigration zones, so your PRC visa won't be count in the Macau entry.

In Hong Kong, you can go to China Travel Service and try applying for a 6-month multiple entry visa, you can find their locations at:
