The cost of staying in Stoupa

OK I appreciate this is a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" type of question but,how much would it be sensible to budget for over a fortnight, excluding excursions, breakfast [ this is a BB question] flights etc, to stay in Stoupa, ie a daily amount to cover occasional drinks, beach beds / umbrella's,, lunches out, 2 course EM for 2 with wine, and bar costs. I'm allocating about 100 euro's a day...any thoughts? or info re the cost of holidaying there?

Thanks

Hi

We stayed bed & breakfast in Stoupa last September, 100 euros a day should easily be enough, you will probably spend less most days

Are you talking per person Keith?

An umbrella and two beds=5euros

2 x Frappe = 5euros

2 x Greek Salads and 4 x Mythos= 20euros

2x Ice Cream =5euros

1x Pedalo around the bay=10euros

2xdinner at Dionysis with wine,desert and coffee=35euros

4xMythos and 4xhouse wine at Mango=20 euros

Yeah, a 100 euros a day should suffice ;-)

Couple of years ago we did Kardamili self catering at Anniska/Liakoto and without holding back we only spent 50 euros per day. Last visit averaged about 75/80 on similar eating and drinking list as you suggest. Spirits or cocktails is the main on-cost !

We went last August. We Took €500 each and brought each €100 back.

I spent about€50 on gifts / things for myself.

We didn't have to pay air con (but did pay for a safe)

We only paid once for sunbeds (went to the beach at the far right end and got refreshments / lunch from Stoupa restaurant)

Had a couple of wines or fresh orange juices each served on the beach.

Lunch with wine

2 courses dinner with 1/2 litre wine, bottle of water and ouzo

Cocktail each night

Things from supermarket (ouzo / lemonade / fresh fruit / crisps)

Taxi to and from Ag Nik.

So we averaged €50 a day.

We felt like we didn't scrimp and found Stoupa really great value for money.

Far cheaper than where we usually stay on Corfu.

Hi, we booked the taxi the day before we wanted it (through our hotel reception)

Stayed in Corfu town, Dassia and off to Nissaki this year.

Our air con ( ;hotel Stoupa) was unexpectantly free, so that saved us a bit.

If you find a taverna that does free sunbeds it's worth it, saves quite a bit-especially if you are there 2 weeks!

Ps the fruit, especially the peaches, plums and figs are just gorgeous and fresh.
