The weather in January and the other winter months can range from sunny and hot to rainy and cool at times. The evenings in particular can be somewhat cool.

Go expecting wonderful beach weather but be prepared for some cool rainy days as well.

Think positive and cross your fingers.

We've been to Cayo Coco in January for the past 3 years ...we usually book near the end of the month ... weather has always been good ... it can be windy at times, but this also keeps the mosquitos away ... just make sure you have a sweater/shawl for the evenings ... we have just booked for next January ... looking forward to another great holiday !!!

Definitely pack an item or two of ling sleeved clothing. Early January 2010 a cold front moved through Cuba and it was cold even by Cuban standards.

We went last year towards the end of January for 2 weeks and we had about 1 week of horrible weather. 3 of those days we could hardly leave our room it was so windy and pouring rain. We were told that a couple weeks before that it was very cold, somewhere in the low teens (celcius). yikes!

Yes, I remember that cold front last January ... thankfully we missed it by a week ... apparently it was freezing ... felt sorry for everyone who had booked a trip for that week ... but it also goes to show us how quickly the weather, in January, can change so suddenly in Cuba ...
