Cuba - Gran Caribe Club Cojimar, Cayo Guillermo

I am going to the Gran Caribe Club Villa Cojimar in just 3 weeks time, could anyone help me out with a couple of queries i have please?

Does the hotel supply beach/pool towels? and what sort of adaptor plugs do you need, we are travelling from the UK?

Also does anyone have info on trips to Havana & cost please?

Would very much appreciate any help.......thanks

Hi Nikki,

The hotel does supply beach/pool towels free of charge but if you lose them you have to pay, just like most other AI hotels. You will need the 2 pin round adaptor plugs. The Havana trip is 2 nights/3 days stopping in Santa Clara also and includes Tropicana. The cost is around £200 per person and well worth it.

Have a great holiday!

Yes, the hotel does supply towels-you'll get a slip at check in to bring to the towel hut(by the pool) for your towel(s). You can then exchange your towel there as needed(between 9-5), and bring them back to get your slip back at the end of your trip. You'll have to pay for any lost towels. 220 is the voltage, I think there was a 110 outlet in the washroom(?)

No info on the Havana trip/cost, sorry...

I believe they are the round pin type. We carry both flat & round adapters with us.

Nikkijp:

Have a read of my Inside Page on Electricity which describes the type of sockets you will likely find at your hotel:

Cojimar is a sleepy little hotel, right on the beach.

Great for a relaxing vacation.

When you throw Havana in to the mix you will enjoy the opposite experience.

It would be extreme, from one to the other.

In my mind, a great combo!

It's quite far away from Guillermo, but try this site.

cayoguillermocuba.net

Hit on "excursions " on the top bar of the page.

It gives you some nice info on the area, as well as things to see, places to go, if you go a little crazy with "cabin fever"

Have a great vacation, Nik!
