Probably a good time to visit. I always go in April and the weather generally tends to be great(although we had 3 or 4 days of rain this year for the first time). The weather in March is very similar and the only reason I never go then is largely due to the cost(March break) and University papers are all generally due around that time. By late May/June humidity starts getting worse and by the summer it can be unbearable to some. I love the humidity but I can see why others don't.

We have been 4 times in March and each time the weather has been different. generally it is very good, once it was very windy but litle rain; once we had a lot of rain ( mainly at night ) but did not see the sun for the 2 days we were in havana; one year we had 3 days solid rain and it was cold, but the rest of the 2 weeks were lovely, this year was the best, a few showers at night but hot in the day with just a breeze to keep us cool and much warmer at night. Never found it humid in March. Cuba is known for its unpredictable weather, they often cannot get the forecast right for the next week. If you do go in March check that your hotel does not take in large numbers of students on spring break, The Tryp in particular gets up to 500 students at a time and sorry to say they can be prone to misbehave!!

We started off going in January and February, but the last three times, we went in March and this yeas was definitely the best. Some rain at night and sunny and warm/hot most days, this was perfect for us.

We have already booked to go back to the SCG next March and although there are some students there, to date, they have not caused any problems, the Sol is more mixed, families, couples, etc... :o)
