Is there a quieter time to visit Cayo Guillermo?

Want to getaway from busy crowded holidays that have their main focus on entertainment and kids clubs (groan) .......... so looking for an escape route to the Caribbean Cuba Cayos (other choice was Maldives but a little too far) and hoping there is a quiet time of the year. If there is a quieter period, what month/s?

Firstly the Daiquiri is closing in May till September for refurbs. And your other question which is a quiet time - the above months but, this is also hurricane season. Also these months you can get quite a bit of rain which will be short heavy showers but it will be very hot and humid. In saying that you could also have two weeks with no rain what so ever, its just a chance you take.

Also the majority of people who holiday these months will be british. Most Canadians holiday in the winter months.

pansypotter-7 Lots of Canadians travel in July and August as these are the 2 months most people will be on vacation with there family as school year finishes at the end of June and lots of companies will also close in July or August as this is what happens here in Quebec ..

July and August prices go up once again as its high season and another chance for these tour companies to make a fast buck ...

Hi went to the SCG Jan 27th - 12 Feb we really enjoyed it ..we come to the Caribbean this time of the year every year.

We found the SCG we be one of the most laid back quieter hotels we have been to.

There was very few children on the resort when we was there. with a few more coming in the second week with it being half term in the uk.

We so enjoyed the peaceful pace we are coming back next year.

We've found that November and the first weeks of December are quiet.

Also the week after New years and Easter.
