Finkounda Nightlife

Hi - We are planning to visit Finikounda for the first two weeks of July. Although we prefer small Greek villages with not too much tourism we also like to stay up late in the local bars. Does anyone know what time the bars usually close during July.

Hi there, The bars stay open till very late as the local restairant workers tend to use them after work. There are no time restrictions, The ones that stay open late are airconditioned so the doors are shut so not to disturb others. Yianni stays open all night as does the disco which opens from 1st july. 2 fast food outlets also stay open all night (if trade is there).

If you need any more info just ask. Where are you staying?

Hi linosdekos, thank you for your reply. Sounds like our sort of place, now we just have to decide which accommodation. The choice is between Panorama, which looks a large complex, the Hotel Finissia which previous posts indicates has small rooms or paying more for the Fotis apartments. Any recommendations?

Hi, Whichever you choose you will enjoy. The Panorama is about 7 years old and has good facilities. is up a fairly steep hill, not good in the heat of the day. The Fotis is about 4 years old and fairly central. The pool cant be used in the afternoon. The Finissia is the only one we have stayed at and were very happy with. If you decide on there ask for a side seaview room, doesnt cost any extra. The rooms were ample with a fridge and aircon. The balcony has an awning. We used to go self catering so didnt think we would like the hotel but was pleasantly surprised with the size of the rooms, the breakfast is quite good, service excellant. Closest to the beach.

Hope you get what you want. Manos is best booked on line cheaper than travel agents.
