staying in Appenzell during summer for one night I wonder which of the following is better view (and better cable car experience) as taking into account also the effort for getting there (by car). I know there is height differences but would like to know which one is better experience (just going up with cable car, staying a little bit and going down- no hiking).
1. Santis - at least 30 minutes of driving from Appenzell village according to google maps. The last part of the road is not "yellow" but "white" which makes me a little nervous about difficulties with the car (regular not 4x4). Is the road wide enough for two cars? steep? curves?
2. Kronberg - at least ten minutes of driving, only on "yellow" road.
3. Wasserauen-Ebenalp at least ten minutes of driving, only on "yellow" road.
