something special

its our anniversary at the 24thmay and we should have been going to mexico on the 13th but have had to change plans due to the flu outbreak and we are now going to protaras. i would like to do something special for the wife on the day...is there anywhere that is a bit more special than your normal touristy places to eat?

Sorry for your disappointment. Happened to us last year with Kenya. Then our alternative trip to Venezuela got cancelled at 3 days notice...

Back to Cyprus... have a look at:

- Cava: www.cava-agrotikon.com

- Blue Spice: www.bluespicerestaurant.com

Neither in Protaras but not far away.

Thanks Angel for the recommendations, I too am looking for something special. The Blue Spice looks lovely and we will be staying in Pernerna so looks like it's top of the list.

Thanks again.

You're welcome, Ann.

Another one is the StoneGrill. See www.cypruseatout.com/restaurant.php…

Demetrion is great for fish at Potamos, and Vasiliskos in Sotira is another 'special' Cypriot restaurant.

I list more restaurants (and bars) than you can shake a stick at on my eating out page at

Many of the web links are just to a local page with a business card and/or photo, but some are links to the restaurant's own website or another directory as above.

Wish I lived there as the whole site would be more comprehensive and up-to-date!
