There was a discussion last week about this and someone posted some fab photos........I will try and find the post for you. It looks really good.

Where are you staying Biggles? we have just booked the Pernera Beach for 2 weeks from Glasgow - I thought I might have to take out a second mortgage but not quite!

Wherever you are staying in Protaras head down to the main beach and turn left - walkway looks fabulous but it is going to make the little hidden gem of a cafe called Zafiros more accessible. Its always been a place of wonderful calm so hope the footpath doesn't spoil it.

There is a topic and photographs on the Holiday Truths board, Pernera to Protaras. Enjoy the photos.

Was at Protaras last October and walked along the path regular. We always stopped at the Zafiros kiosk for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks.Great place to stop and have refreshments. The staff are very friendly but I hope it has not spoilt this small Kiosk and gets too busy.Going back in October looking forward to walking along the path in the evening.

I saw the photographs on the HolidayTruths forum under the Protaras to Pernerna heading. If you scroll down to page 2 you will see the link that AskCY has posted. I am sure you will agree he has done a fab job.

We are off to the Pernera Beach on the 20th June, can't wait.

Do you mean the Rising Star Beach hotel in Protaras? http://www.yiannamarie.com/rising_star.htm

Its about the middle of Protaras which is a short walk from the start of the Beach path to Pernera (probably 5 minutes walk). Never been in it (or near it really) but looking at the site above its all been re-done and its close to plenty of good restaurants and such!

We stayed their last year and loved it that much we are going again in two weeks, the coastal path passes by at the bottom of the gardens. It's a smaller hotel than others in Protaras but you'll noy be dissapointed.
