pernera.. where's best to eat, then drink? (or both)

Hi all, We are heading to protaras in June, will be our 4th visit and we are hoping to explore the Pernera area a little more this time.. we have only driven through and also got a bit lost when walking around the costal path, we wandered off the track, ended up near the hotel with the water slides, and managed to find our way back to sweet memories where we have always stayed.. haha

Anyway, any recommendations? we dont mind cheap and cheerful, but we also like traditional Cypriot food, good old english grub and everything else inbetween.. haha.. basically we are not fussy :)

Also, who does the cheapest drinks?

Thank you :)

Agree with Willy n on Koko's for drinks & Blue Spice for nice food also try Steak & ale restaurant, Ifalos taverna, Sizzlers steakhouse & La Cultura del Gusto all have good reviews on here !! Sometimes think wandering around & trying whatever you come across is more fun !! Let me know what you think of La Cultura del Gusto if you go, we are returning to Pernera again in July, can't wait !!

Have a great time !!

also mojitos is very good for food, a bit more expensive but worth a treat, round the corner from spectrum bar and across from only fools and horses

Hi

We have eaten in Il Cavaliere and it was the worst meal we had, quite a group of us and none us satisfied with meal. We are returning to Pernera soon, heard some good reports on Steak and Ale, La Cultura del Gusto, Mojitos, Ifalos. In Protaras recommend Yiannie Marie, Hippocampus, Kamakura Japanese.

Best fine dining in Pernera has to be La Cultura Del Gusto - nothing to touch it. Knights Bar does exceptionally good food. Mojitos is good but it gets very busy and I find the service very slow. Cannot recommend Il Cavaliere - it was good some years ago but La Cultura has taken the shine off it. If you fancy the freshest of fish then the two restaurants at Leopetri are well worth visiting particularly on a Sunday.

mojitos was ok last year not as good as the year before maybe a one off, i thought a lot of the restaurants had let their standards slip last year
