We still have some euro travellers cheques from a previous holiday and would like to exchange them when we holiday in Pernera in August. How easy are they to cash and does anybody know what charges we are likely to occur when doing this.

Notice no reply yet probably as travellers cheques are not much used, I suspect banks give better rates than hotels but I remember when I last used these that the issuer sometimes would buy back and that might be a better option. But I have no recent experience on this.
We always take travellers cheques never had any problems changing them..best to shop around most places will have boards outside with rates & commission on. We found the best place to change them was Happy days supermarket in protaras..not sure about pernera.
The rate is usually higher in the bank but then you pay commission so comes out about the same. Best to check a couple of places and make sure the "No Commission" shops also agree that for travellers cheques - some charge for those.
