Is there much in Pernera

Looking to go back to Cyprus again and for the last 2 years we've stayed in either Nissi Beach or Protaras. I've spotted a few nice villas in Pernera but don't really know much about it. Is it a quiet place compared to somewhere like Protaras and does it have many bars or resturants to choose from? Also is it on the bus route for Ayia Napa? It's always handy to be able to get the last bus back at 4am rather than pay for a taxi ;-)

Thanks

Yes there are plenty of things to do in Pernera, The Ranch bar has live entertainment every night, places like the Blue Spice Restaurant have live music from time to time (as well as a pool and loungers you can use during the day), there are cycle/moped/motorbike/car hire available, taxis, bus routes, the coastal path for a nice stroll to Protaras, more than enough pubs, restaurants and cafés to keep you going. You can eat Cypriot food in several of the places like the ifalos restaurant and The Point Restaurant, get the best Italian food in the Nautilus and many other types and styles as you wander around. The beaches are smaller than Protaras but enough space for everyone and plenty of boat/jetski type hire if that "floats your boat" ! :-)

Hi

We always stay in a villa in Pernera we prefer it to Protaras. There are some nice restaurants and bars and Protaras is a lovely 20 minute walk on the coastal path, or bus about 1 euro or taxi ride away. The beaches are nice and Frixos water sports are available at the beginning of the coastal path. Pernera has a few shops etc and a small water-park you can use in the Anastasia Hotel (there is a charge).

We prefer the more laid back feel, but we can get into Protaras easy enough if we want to. The buses also run to Ayia Napa etc.

We are looking forward to our next holiday in June in Pernera.

Hi,

We went to Pernera for the first time last year, we normally go to protaras, we loved it, we prefered it to Protaras, we stayed at the Pernera Beach hotel, which was great, had a much nicer feel in Pernera, we are staying at a villa this year in Kapparis so looking forward to somewhere different but will deffo be going to Pernera to visit.

Our hotel was all Inclusive so didnt need to worry about places to eat, but looked like there was enough to choose from, we went out for drinks a few times along the costal walkway which was great, and the walk to Protaras was lovely, took around 20 mins, is is also lit up at night so really nice to walk back.

Im sure you will have a great time wherever you decide to go.

Hi I have booked a spring break next April at the pernera beach, can you tell me if it's easier to get out and about from there? And also is the pool area well equipped with sun bed? Any other hotel info would be appreciated.
