Hi bogbean - well done for launching the Luing Forum! It's a nice island - peaceful and little visited. It's easy to get across to Seil, and Easedale is worth a visit - fascinating place.

Another possibilty, though it can cost a bit more, is to get a boatman to land you on one of the nearby uninhabited islands for a day. Scarba is a great island to visit, and you might also consider Lunga or the Garvellachs. This guy is good: http://www.craignishcruises.co.uk/

...but there are others, and you might find a local boatman on Luing who would be cheaper.

Have a great trip

If you get the chance to see the Corrievreckan Whirpool, take it! Unique.
