Cana (half a lager) around 1.30 EUR, Coke or Fanta the same. Pint of local beer around 2.60. Expect to pay alot more for British brands - Guinness around 4.50 a pint for eg.

Eating out? Depends on what you want to eat! Expect a 3 course al a carte to set you back around 25 EUR per head incl. wine. Burger, chips and salad? About 7.50 EUR a head and a add a couple more for a beer (or coke etc.) to go with it, so make that 10EUR.

If the euro stays like this, i would look at all inclusive as you pay in pounds for all your food and drink at the hotel.

also worth mentioning, is the cash passport. Its a pre paid debit card. You load this with Euros, so its the exchange rate on the day you load it you pay.

Should the Euro get better, you could load it in the winter even, so you have the euros for when you go.

(note the rate can go up or down though).

Hi,

We are also thinking of booking up to Cala'n Forcat in June, would be going self-catering although we would eat out every night and not in our hotel/apartments......having read a few reviews of the place there does seem to be a fair choice of places to eat, would this be correct ?

Cheers

Yes, there is at least 20 places to eat out in the Cala Forcat/Blanes area, as well as about the same other complexs what are open to none residents.

Its also worth mentioning that your only a 20 min bus ride from Ciutadella, if you wanted to eat in the town some nights.

Last bus back is at 2230 ish, but might be later in June.

Taxis would be 10-15 Euro.
