Hoping to stop at the los gigantes hotel and have a sea view room, what is the difference between standard and superior rooms? Also which are the best rooms away from noise please

Sea view rooms are quieter since they do not face TJ's bar which plays music until midnight.

The superior or standard rooms are not much different but you get tea and coffee making facilities included. You can book the tea and coffee at reception if you are in a standard room. The safe is also included in superior rooms but this is not made obvious in the brochure.

The price difference becomes quite small when you take this into account.

We have been to Los Gigantes several times in the last few years and I am sure you will enjoy the hotel.

If you want any more information e mail the hotel. The manager gets back to you within 24 hours.

Hi

Thanks for the information. We have now booked a superior room, and we are looking forward to going back to Tenerife.

this is very interesting as we are considering going to this hotel but we have been told the room available is Suite with limited sea view but we are not sure what this means.

We have been told a lot of good things about the hotel but we are not sure what is near to the hotel and also what the entertainment is like in the hotel.

Travel agents are never any good at sharing this information and that is why trip advisor is great.

There are only 5 suites at the hotel.

They get booked up quite quickly since they are only £7.00 per person per night.

They are cheaper than the superior rooms but you have to pay for the safe and tea and coffee in the room.

The suites have two large bedrooms and a sitting room.

They have two full sized balconies one overlooking the harbour and the cliffs and the other towards the island of La Gomera.

I would avoid the garden rooms because although they are spacious you can get noise early in the morning from the dining room above.

Hi

We have stayed at the hotel several times over the last few years.

The entertainment is the usual thomson gold. In the daytime there are things like quizzes , aqua -aerobics, games, cooking demonstrations and talks on the local area. There is no pressure to take part.

In the evening there is a large lounge with a resident duo and the main act at 10.00pm.

This could be a local tribute act or a comedian from the UK.

There are also several quiet lounges

Just outside is a bar that has a singer on every night and just across the road about 50 - 100 yards walk is the highland Paddy bar that has a turn on every night.
