Places to stay

I am planning a trip to Oaxaca around Easter with my wife and two teenage daughters. We will be in Oaxaca City for Semana Santa then want to spend a few days at the beach. Does anyone have suggestions for places to stay? We like the look of San Augustinillo or Mazunte because they seem quieter and the swimming is safer. I have emailed several places I found on the web but only heard back from two. Un Sueno looks like nice cabanas but a bit expensive. Posada Arigalan/La Barca is more reasonable but I would like someone's opinion who knows the area. Other suggestions I have heard are Jazmin, Mexico Lindo, Posada Ziga. Any suggestions? Basically we want a clean friendly, reasonably priced place on the beach where we can walk to restaurants.

San Agustinillo has lots of accomodation including 3 or 4 new hotels. Un Sueno is very good but if expensive at 650 peso/night (1300 for a double unit)you'll quickly see you'll get what you pay for. Holy week will be busy but a minor gamble if you plan on no reservations for a cheaper place. Many are walk-ups without websites or reservations. Everything is close to the beach and restaurants since everything is on a 3/4 mile long street. If I were you I'd book a double unit at un Sueno if available because what you get for a few hundred pesos less could well be the difference in being happy or not.
