Recomendations please for Great Indian Restaurant in Chaweng

Hi Guys.

Staying at Samui Paradise next April and we have recently became very fond of Indian Food in Queensland. Just wondering if any people can recommend any great Indian Restaurant in Chaweng area.

Cheers Bob & Chris.

From Samui Paradise walk north along the Chaweng Beach Road, for about 10 minutes, to the Chaweng Cove Resotel. Right in front of it is one branch of the Noori Indian Restaurant.

They offer good value for money, but I usually ask for "a bit more spicey" as they have toned down their dishes for western tourists.

Another good Indian Restaurant is in Central Chaweng right in front of the Tops Supermarket. But the proprieter is a pain in the a.. He tries to be extra friendly and funny, but ends up simply being a great nuisance.

Edit:

PS: Yes Kohinoor in FV is good as well, but there I ask for less spicy ;)

I agree with Noori Indian next door to Chaweng Cove/Poppies. We walked past and saw a guy ordering more bread so he could wipe out every last bit of the sauces - that sold it for us! Great food, very reasonable prices, definitely worth a visit :)

If you happen to be in Choeng Mon then you should try the Akbar Indian Restaurant - you will not be disappointed.

Haveli used to be good but they are not in Chaweng sorry Bobb.

I never looked them up on our last trip and dont remember seeing them.

Anyone know if they are still there or maybe they have moved from where they used to be?

Thanks :)

you should know by now to ask the locals????[just kidding]

Haveli have moved from where they were towards bophut about a kilometer on the opposite side [still in bang rak]

have their old sign now up and illuminated

will meet you there for a curry when you are here

but IMO koohinor in bophut is a little better

but dont worry we will give both a try

hi i m indian & i m living here for 4 years. Please do not go Kohinoor its waste of money ......

In chaweng & lamai there are plenty of restaurant there but Noori is the best restaurant ever i tried in Koh Samui. They do have delivery. you can try Noori which is near to McDonalds and Meet Mr.Dee dee he is the owner of the Noori India and he is a great person.

Hawali restaurant is closed (now running restaurant with 3 Tables in small area).
