Hello. I cannot comment on the softness of the beds but there are some reviews here tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g678734-d1785…

You could message the reviewers via their profile page to find out.

Official Hotel website ionianemerald.gr/5-star-hotel-kefalonia/trav…

The Hotel is a mile or two from Sami and is in the village of Karavomylos.

There is a very narrow beach. Some areas are pebble, other areas shingle and coarse sand. There is a small lake with a water wheel and Taverna.

Sami itself is a busy little port but has charm and many good tavernas along the quayside.

Over the headland from Sami is the white pebble beach of Anti samos which has watersport rental and a Café.

Lovely swimming and full of fish which you can feed if you take some bread.

There are trips over to Ithaka on the Sami Star I.

You are also ideally placed for visiting Agia Efimia, Myrtos beach and Fiscardo in the North of the Island.

Boat rental is available in Agia Efemia, there is also a Diving school there.

On the drive over to Anti Samos beach there is a right turn that will bring you to the Archaeological site of ancient Sami and the old Monastery and church.

The setting is amazing and well worth exploring.

The sandy beaches are mostly in the South of the Island and the Paliki peninsular. Kefalonia is a very beautiful Island and well worth exploring.

Hope you have a tranquil holiday :-)

I thought the beds were comfortable.

The beach in front of the hotel is small and pebbled but the advantage is very few people use it. The hotel has a some sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach and we never saw anyone else using it as there is a lot of empty beach space between the hotel and Sami.

There was a brochure in the hotel in regards to boat hire although we did not use this. Think it was 'Yellow Boats'
