Mount Abu from Udaipur

Pls advice, if it is a good idea to travel to Mount Abu from Udaipur & back for a day, if one is there on a 3 day holiday?

Yes , Mt Abu can be easily done from udaipur in one day and you can drive back to udaipur . Very good toll Rd.180 kms oneway .

A night in Kumbhalgarh or Ranakpur will cover your all sights around udaipur with in your time frames.

day 1

Drive to Mt Abu and on returns stay a night in Ranakpur

day 2

Drive Kumbhalgarg fort and after visit continue to udaipur ( enroute Haldigjati, Eklingji Nagda temple)

Day 3'

full day local.sight seeing of udaipur .

Thanks for great advice. Couple of points to share and seek your advice.

I fly into udaipur on 25th march at around 11am. I have 25/26/27th available. However 27th will be Holi day. So sightseeing/ movement might be restricted. I fly back to 28th around noon time from udaipur.

Seek some precious advice to plan my itinery.

Just reverse my given itinerary.

25th

Arrival and udsipur sight seeing

City palace, boatride Garden lakes bagore ki haveli etc check the links of attractions on tripadvisor

26th

day trip to mount Abu on return stay at Ranakpur

27th

Ranakpur Kumbhalgsrh udaipur.

28 th

Fly back.

27 th is Dhulandi day

fort temples are open on this day as well

.

city palace , udaipur remain closed on Dhulandi ( colours day)

Thanks for the wonderful support. I think, I should stick to the same itinery.

Pls suggest some good hotel in Ranakpur.

Also can someone give a rough estimate on cab charges- Airport to Airport - probably AC Indigo/ Xylo etc.

KingsAbode / maharani bagh/Fateh Bagh/ Mana are good hotels in Ranakpur . You can try through the various online booking engines to book.

Agooda, bookings,Makemytrip etc etc or directly with the Hotel websites

it is different direction and makes a triangle to be at Mehsana Water park. It is possible to do as road conditions ate very good .

if you want to have a comfortable day then spend a night
