Ferry to Limenaria

Can anyone give me an idea if there is much of a wait for the ferry to Limenaria after arrival at the airport. I am thinking of booking the Blue View, flying from B'ham on 1 June, 2014. I have looked at the crossing time and they seem pretty regular.

Thanks in advance, Jule....

I didn't think there were any ferries direct to Limenaria, only the usual one from Keramoti to Limenas (Thassos Town) and one from Kavala to Skala Prinos:

Right, the traditional, quickest, cheaper and most frequent route is a transfer from Kavala airport to Keramoti, ferry across to Limenas (Thassos Town) and then onward to wherever you're staying. If you are on a package presumably transfers will be included and it will all be dealt with for you, but if not, and you don't have a hire car from the airport (and which you can take on the ferry) then I guess it would be taxi to Keramoti and then either another (expensive) taxi to Limenaria, or bus. It's quite a distance from Limenas to Limenaria, probably about 25 miles.

The ferry crossing is 35 to 45 minutes (45 nowadays as they are running a little slower to save fuel costs)

The bus journey from the airport to Keramoti ferry port is 15 minutes, so if all goes smoothly you could be on the island in an hour of leaving the airport.

Don't be put off by the transfer as it is really pleasant and the best way to arrive on an island is by boat IMO.

Thanks a lot, that's great!

It will be a package and so will be included. I was just trying to determine if there was going to be much hanging about along the way. How far is it from Kavala to Keramoti?

(I read Limenas and Limenaria as the 'same' place, lol....)

Just saw that you want to fly out from Birmingham, Cosmos only fly out of Gatwick and Manchester.
