We don't smoke, but thinking of buying some cigars when in Cuba - what kind are best to sell? Any luck selling on Kijiji>

you will not make any money buying cigars in cuba and selling them here... the difference in price is very small (compared to what it once was) and most aficionados are members of clubs who get deals on volume...

From experience I would say your chances of making any worthwhile profit is slim. Most buyers are suspicious of any cigars sold on Kijiji or craigslist. It is common knowledge that counterfeit Cuban cigars flood the market so your cigars will be viewed with scrutiny. In addition, most buyers prefer to buy their smokes from someone who is storing their purchase in a proper humidor before shipping.

Not trying to discourage you, just letting you know what potential buyers will have on their mind when they see your ad.

You would be better to line up a buyer before you leave.

Most all the famous brands will at least draw attention. The variety is numerous but to name a few popular ones....

Monte Cristo #4

Cohiba Esplendidos

Cohiba Robustos

Cohiba Siglo VI

Hoyo Monterrey Epicure No.2

Partagas Serie P No.2

Romeo Y Julieta Churchills

Trinidad Reyes

Others will probably post other brands but this list is a start. Most Cuban cigar collectors will be happy to get most (or all) of the above and you should have no problem finding these in the LCDH (government controlled cigar shops) where you should buy your cigars. DO NOT buy from the waiter, bartender anyone in or out of the resort unless you want counterfeits. Even the cigars in the hotel shop are suspect IMHO.

Good luck!
