Those that have return since January 17th

Just wondering as to what the weather has been like, and the beach condition at Playa Blanca.

Callaghan, the weather and temps are available on line, and the beach is where you left it in November, eh?

Wish we could go as often. LOL and have a great time!

We were there Jan 3 to 11th, weather was good, we did have one day that was windy and cooler but still able to lay out in the sun. Beach directly in front of hotel was a hit and miss, to the right the beach was wide. Beach bar only serves rum.

CL is on the Caribbean side and much less affected by Arctic weather masses than the resorts on the north coast which are technically on the Atlantic.

the beach looked nothing like that when we were there less than 2 weeks ago, there was no beach at all in front of the Ranchron.....

It can completely rebuild in 2-3 days.

When we are there we watch it come and go. After a full moon it fills in for a week or two.

It was a good idea to move the beach services to the right. Capricho beach is very stable.

Agree with SpunkyNB.

All the beaches in Cayo Largo can be absolutely stunning ~ when they are there!!!

This is not my photo, but we too, have seen Playa Lindemar come and go in front of the Sol CL while there:

Most travel sites and reputable tour operators will advise that there are no guarantees regarding the condition of Cayo Largo's beaches. Excepting of course, Playas Sirenas and Paraiso ~ a train or cab ride off site.
