Moneytree Villa in Nissaki?

Hi... we are looking at this villa which we found on Owners Direct for a 2-week holiday: any advice please e.g. where exactly it is ; how close to the beach / town / shops, etc. and what is the cost of living like at the mo on Corfu?

Hi ontourUk, the info on the site states it is 2k from Nissaki, and as the house is on the hillside this will be 2k of very steep, winding road with hairpin bends through the olive groves. Some people arriving in this area at night driving an unfamiliar hire car find the approach intimidating but it will be worth it for the view! Nissaki itself does not really have a centre, it's a string of small shops, tavernas etc spread along the main road, with a string of small beaches below reached by side roads or paths. It is a quiet place where the only 'nightlife' is the tavernas. You can drive into Corfu town in around 45 minutes. The prices in this part of Corfu are generally a bit higher than many other places in Greece, as it is an affluent area with many private luxury villas. I would expect restaurant prices to be held or lowered this year due to the economic crisis but maybe someone else can confirm this? Prices in the local minimarkets for groceries etc are high compared to the UK, but there is a big supermarket on the main road into Corfu town where prices should be lower.
