stilts backpackers/quickest way

Can anyone tell me the quickest way to get to Stilts. We only have about 8 days, coming from Johannesburg so dont want to loose too much time travelling.

If there are any flights from Jo'burg to Mombasa take that one. Otherwise if you are flying into Nairobi take a flight with Fly540 or Kenya Airways to Mombasa and then from there a taxi. Air Kenya flies to Diani but for that airline you have to change airports in Nairobi (Wilson Airport).

Assuming you're coming on the new 1Time charter to Mombasa, the quickest way is then then a taxi straight to Stilts, which should take you less than 2 hours door to door (with luck 90mins, without it 3hrs, depending on city traffic and ferry delays). Cost should be under Ksh5000, depending on when you visit - fuel and fares are creeping up all the time.

Easiest way from Mombasa to Stilts Diani Beach is by taxi, we are 35 ks south of Mombasa. The rate should be no more than Ksh 3,000.

Matatu is much cheaper. Station to Likoni Ferry is about Ksh 30. Likoni Ferry to Ukunda 30 ks and about Ksh 60. Ukunda to Diani Beach 5 Ks and about Ksh 40. When you get on the Ukunda - Diani Beach Matatu ask the driver to drop you off at Ali Barbour's entrance, we are opposite.
