Sun Beds on Mobar Beach

Are the shacks outside the Holiday Inn and the Leela Hotel ie. Sams, Pearles, Mikes and Bettys sticking to the 5 bed rule.

As there are no beach sellers on the beach are there still the jet skiers and paragliders

Many thanks..

Ray

Such a shame if we end up having to stress over whether we can find beds and a brolly on the beach for two weeks. My OH will never cope without shade. Will try shacks at both ends of beach but if we end up round hotel pool most of time then it could well be our first AND only visit to Goa. Going with complete open mind but really hoping the 5 bed rule (farce) doesn't spoil it.

I just find it unbelievable that with all the health implications that provision of shade is even an issue. We take our 3 year old and shade is absolutely vital! We have his UV tent but it wuld be nice to know if he sits with us on a bed then he can do so in the shade. Anyway we go to Cavellosim a week on Thursday and Im sure we'l adapt and not let it affect our hols.

There is plenty of shade in the north.

When there were only a few beds out there were mattresses on the sand complete with parasol.

This was end of Nov.

Why is there still a problem in the south when there are plenty of beds etc. on the beaches in the north?

We've just come back from Cavelossim and can confirm that the 5 bed rule is being stuck to - more or less. Some days there could be as many as 7/8 beds out but people were being asked to move if the police were about but most shacks were also putting a few beds towards the back. First couple of days we were there we couldn't get a bed and ended up on matresses on the sand but my husband was eaten alive by sand flies so after that we were lucky enough to find a bed most days. There were a few sellers on the beach early morning but they were usually gone by 10ish as the police were normally around. Few jet skis and paragliders further down the beach towards the Holiday Inn but overall the place felt very quiet and we were there for 3 weeks which covered Christmas and even that was quiet. Last Thursday it did look like there were a few more people there for New Year but not a huge difference.
