You should have gone down south for a dAy when you were there. to see what it is like. We find it much too quiet and not a lot going off like up north. We go for 5nights to colva to get a break from the north. To be honesti coyldnt stay anymore, always glad to get back to the hustle and abustle of Calengute..lol

Everyone has there own choice, why dont you try half north half south, then you can decide if its to your liking...

Picking 2 places is probably a good idea, especially as you know that you like Candolim. If booking a package, just book however many days elsewhere separately and additionally as that will probably work out cheaper. Or head off to wherever you fancy goung and, unless it is busy Christmas or New Year, just find somewhere there. If you don't like it as much as Candolim or it is not for you, try a nearby resort just in case you prefer that. Cavelossim is a growing resort, lovely beach, easy to find quiet space there especially if you walk away from the shacks concentrated along the main drag. The restaurants in the resort centre are not exactly wild, menus fairly similar at each, but quality varies from place to place. There is a local showband, think wedding singers, who go from place to place different evenings and there was a karaoke machine doing the rounds too so you can head to or avoid, depending upon your view of such entertainment at dinner! I think the beach is the USP for Cavelossim, not so many cows wandering around though (fewer cows equals a cleaner beach!)

Here now sitting in Ryan's. Love Candolim. We went for 2 nights down to the white sands in Agonda, which was lovely. Problem was that it was very very quiet due to being end of season. We went for the day to Palolem. It was great lots going on bet still chilled
