Ferry/Boat to Skopelos

Hi

Was wondering how long the journey is from Skiathos to Skopelos and how much is it. I've been to Skiathos about 8 times but never been to Skopelos. Also is Tsougria a nice place to go on a day trip.

Thanks

hi..

www.openseas.gr/openseas/SearchTrips.html

shows it is just 20 minutes with the flying cat from skiathos to skopelos and 30 minutes to glossa..with the 'slow ferry '' it's an hour and a half..if you go to the link,at the ''search for a trip section at the right'',choose from skiathos to skopelos and the date you can see the schedules for the day you are interested in..

by clicking on the booking option at the right and then at the highlited red option ''prices'' it is 9.50 euros with the slow ferry and 10 with the flying cat.

.. actually, should be the other way around:-) Skiathos to Glossa takes barely 10-15 min.. to Skopelos, if direct from Skiathos (without stopping at Glossa first) is about 30-40 min on the fast ferries;-) You can also check www.gtp.gr/ and Enjoy!

Our pleasure:-) Hope we didn't confuse you:-) Skopelos has 2 ports of call.. the first being in Glossa which is super close to Skiaithos! On a clear night, you can practically see the village lights up in Glossa from the old harbor in Skiiathos:-) Skopelos Town is the other port of call.. ferries making stops at Glossa usually continue on around to Skopelos Town.. about an additional 40 min or so;-)

Something to consider.. take the ferry to Glossa.. take the bus to Skopelos Town?:-) Grab seats on the right hand side of the bus which takes a nice coastal run passing most of the popular beaches.. usually takes about an hour.. and you can return to Skiathos from Skopelos Town;-) Keep us posted.. keep enjoyin'!

Hey benjoe:-) As I mentioned earlier, the bus ride takes approx. 1 hour;-) You board the bus at the port town at Loutraki.. no need to head up to Glossa.. which is passes and stops;-) Bus schedules are posted by the bus stops and frequency is seasonal.. obviously, more buses during peak Summer season and at that time, if I remember correctly, usually about 8 r/t runs.. thereabouts.. with the first bus around 6-7a.. and the last around 10p! Enjoy all!
