Mimosa Oasis

Has anyone stayed at Mimosa Oasis studios, we have booked for August this year and would appreciate any information about the studios.

Where abouts are they in the resort and do the studios have double or twin beds?

As we are travelling with teenagers they want to go to Aqualand is there a bus from the resort that goes direct there at all?

Hi Georgia and Spiros are our friends and we stayed there last year with our parents last year.

They are right next to the supermarket in Paleo about 500m from the start of Paleo. The supermarket keeps all the food you need for self catering.

The Oasis restaurant is owned by Spiros and the food is amazing, but it may be closed as the lease has expired. But he was opening another one close by.

Try the Acapulco Bar 10 mins walk from Mimosa. Fantastic place.

Google it. Swimming there too. There plenty of places to eat.

The apartments re Greek basic but clean. Spiros will do anything for his guests. Some of the apartments have doubles but most are single. Push them together. Get some olives and local wine and have a picnic by the pool.

Go to Doukades 5 mins by car and try the little tarvernas in the square. Try at night very Greek. We are building a villa in the hills on the outskirts of Doukades. Enjoy Mark

Hello

We stayed at the Mimosa studios last year and were delighted with them. The studios themselves were spotless and well maintained. They are very simple, but thats what they are supposed to be. A comfortable base for enjoying your holiday.

The studios themselves are set in very lush gardens so make sure you have a mossie repellant plug in in the room. We got bitten on the first night there before realising our mistake. Also wasps can be kept away with a capful of lemon fanta placed right at the edge of the balcony....they wont bother you if you keep it topped up.

There isnt a bar or any other facilites at Mimosa but they are part of the acapulco complex which is only a couple of minutes away. The acapulco may have one of the best spots in Paleo for relaxing by the pool. The view from the bar really has to be seen to believed.

There is a great supermarket right next door to mimosa, as is the cashline machine.

As for Aqualand, we definitely saw timetables up for a bus in the bus shelter. I dont know how long the bus takes but there is a stop on the main road not far from Mimosa.

We enjoyed our stay there so much that we have just booked again for the beginning of September.

Enjoy your break :)

We would like to return to Paleo but cannot do hills and lots of steps now. What is the Mimosa like in this respect?

Hi Kathleen

Mimosa may not be the best as it is at the top of the village so it is a bit of a trek to the nearest beach (Agia Triada) and that does mean clambering up and down the steps there.

If, however you intend to have a car for the week, then its a better option as there are 2 excellent tavernas almost next door, a supermarket within 50 metres and its all on the level without any steps.

By its nature, Paleo is hilly. One of the places at the bottom of the village may be better. Try the Paleo Bliss website for info on these....I love browsing it.
