Visiting Fiskardo from Skala

Hi All

Next year we return to Skala for our 4th year in a row. We are staying for 1 week in mid-May. We have always wanted to go and see Fiskardo, so we plan on driving up there to check it out.

I am thinking of perhaps booking accommodation for 1 night, so we can really get a taste of what Fiskardo is like in both day and of an evening. Any recommendations as to where we can get a room for the night? No budget really, just want to stay somewhere pleasant near the action.

Also, can people recommend good Tavernas and any nice cocktail bars we can visit in Fiskardo?

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave

There will be a number of places that only let rooms for 3 days or more, however when the question has been asked before people have mentioned that they have stayed for one night at Fiscardo Studios.

Nice apartments right on the harbour front. If possible try to get a sea facing room.

For cocktails you can’t beat the balcony ar Theodora’s for views, ambience and of course the cocktails!

For dinner I guess most people would recommend Eli’s, close to Fiscardo Studios, on the waters edge, it gets very busy but in our opinion is overrated. We’ve had poor service and food on a number of occasions although we have also had good.

If you specifically want harbour front there’s plenty to chose from, perhaps if you get there mid morning you could have a stroll and look at some menu’s?

If you’re not too bothered about harbour front there is our favourite Tselentis in the square or there’s a fabulous Thai set in the gardens of the old school house, just behind Theodora’s

Just a few ideas, happy planning.

Hi Fiscardofan

Many thanks there's some really useful info there.

We aren't particular bothered about harbour front, we would rather have brilliant food in a back street or main square.

The cocktail place sounds wonderful.
