accomodations for 2 people <$150

Does anyone have any recommendations for 2 people for 3 nights? March 8-11. We will be sightseeing all day so really all we need is an awesome oceanview every evening when we get back after running around all day. I am noticing several of the super deals are already booked, ~$100, I am assuming to be on island for the whales as are we. Thanks.

This is for South Maui.

Not sure why the link didn't work. But check VRBO. There are still some deals to be had.

I was going to link West Maui next.

West Maui, and I don't think this link will work either!

Maybe a copy will work.

Maalaea, and it only requires a 2 night minimum. Lots of places want 5 or more nights.

Has anyone had personal experience with a specific place they have stayed that they would recommend? 3 nights. Direct ocean views to enjoy in the evenings after sight seeing all day. Near Maalaea. Thanks.

Barbara is staying in Ma'alaea right now. She stays there often. Maybe send her a private message and she will be able to help you out. She did post a trip report today, so she may find some time to answer you.

I will try and find it, and then you can just click on her name easily.

Yes, here I am in Maalaea now! Usually I rent 2B/2B units but last year I had a solo trip and enjoyed this lovely 1 bedroom unit: www.vrbo.com/376783

If it isn't available for your dates check the vrbo listings for the same complex: Maalaea Yacht Marina.

I saw several that allowed a 3 day minimum.

Other condo complexes that would be high on my list for 1 bedroom units would be Maalaea Kai and Maalaea Banyans. Both of these complexes have nice lawn areas and spectacular views. I would stay at either if I found a nicely upgraded affordable unit.

"Not sure why the link didn't work."

It must have exceeded the maximum length in order to post a link, but google shortener to the rescue :) http://goo.gl/c3L9Sm

I copied and pasted the links fine, so it was OK they weren't a hyperlink. Was just needing a more specific recommendation. But didn't know there was such a thing as a link shortener. Very good to know.

One of the TA regulars loves the http://www.koalagoon.com/ . Not on a swimming beach but every unit is direct ocean front view. You can find units on VRBO or rent direct from the management company.

This resort is in the Central Kihei area. also see what you can find at the Maui Sunset, it's just a few buildings down the street. http://www.mauisunset.com/
