Wedding at Playa Costa Verde

I am hoping to get married at PCV in June 2013. Can anyone give me any advice. Has anyone booked their wedding directly with the hotel as it will just be the two of us and the £800 Thomas cook quoted us seemed a bit steep. Help from anyone that has been married at PCV would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Mark

Thanks ,hope you enjoyed. We will speak to travel agents tomorrow. We were a bit concerned as most reviews have lots of guests and wondered whether they will do a small ceremony on the beach with just the two of us.

We had such a nice time at this resort. We rather wondered why we did not see more weddings.

Only recommendation ...... We had nice food there except for one restrauant ..the Internation/Italian...it was really bad.... and I sedom say that word...bad... so my suggestion would be that for your wedding meal not be there......

You can contect the wedding coordinator to answer any of your questions.

You can probably get a better price from the hotel.

Our daughter was married at Playa Costa Verde in October 2011. We made all our arrangements directly with the hotel wedding co-ordinator in customer relations. I have copied the promotional information from 2012 (sorry I don't have an up to date version for 2013) from a PDF that we received from them. For the past few years the cost was free from May to October provided you had a minimum of 17 guests in the wedding group. I don't know if the same deal holds for this year. We even arranged a private meal for all our guests at a cost of 35cuc per person. If you would like the original PDF message me with your e-mail address and I'll attach a copy in reply.

Since it will just be 2 of you there will be a cost, though you may be able to work out some sort of deal. Your best bet is to contact them directly.

We got married there May 2011. Travelled and booked holiday with Thomas Cook, booked wedding directly with the hotel. Worked out about £500 rather than £800 that Thomas Cook wanted, although the Thomas Cook booking gives you upgrades, I think, like extra kgs for your luggage. Our wedding was actually free, as we had more than 17(?) paying guests with us at the wedding. We just had to pay for a DVD of the wedding and the evening meal (which you won't necessarily have to pay if there are fewer of you).

Vivian and Niurka are great - a little slow at replying to emails, but very efficient when you're there.

Setting was brilliant, and all guests enjoyed it!
